asked the Chancellor of the Exchequer what is the total cost to date of the Exchequer in financial outgoings across the exchanges attributable to the European Economic Community since 1st January 1973.

Transfers effected from sterling to other currencies in respect of the Community budget amounted to £75,325,000 in 1973.
