asked the Secretary of State for the Home Department what proposals he has to alter the law relating to the protection of privacy.

Mr. Roy Jenkins

The protection of privacy is a matter of concern to the Government; but I should like a little longer to study the implications of the Younger Committee's Report and the progress already made towards implementing its recommendations, before deciding what further measures may be desirable.
