§ Mr. John SilkinThe Town and Country Planning (Amendment) Act 1972 already enables control over demolition of particular buildings in a conservation area to be exercised by a local planning authority.
I am aware of widespread concern that demolition generally should be brought under planning control and I am asking Mr. Dobry to consider this further in his final report.
