HC Deb 21 March 1974 vol 870 cc135-6W
31. Mr. Rose

asked the Secretary of State for the Home Department whether he will reconsider the case of Mr. and Mrs. Reynolds, an English citizen married to an Australian national faced with 14 days' notice of deportation, representations on behalf of whom have been forwarded by the hon. Member for Manchester, Blackley.

Mr. Alexander W. Lyon

When Mr. Reynolds' application to settle here was refused, he was told of his right of appeal and he has now given notice of appeal. He has never been served with notice of intention to deport, and is entitled to remain here pending the determination of his appeal. It would not be right for me to comment while the appeal is outstanding.
