§ Mr. Muddasked the Secretary of State for the Environment if he will clarify the position of the rents for furnished caravans and the site rents for mobile homes on residential sites with respect to the announced freeze on rent increases.
§ Mr. FreesonThe Counter-Inflation (Private Sector Residential Rents) (England and Wales) Order 1974 applies to any rent for a dwelling. It therefore applies to rents for caravans fixed to and let with their sites as furnished lettings. The order does not apply to ground rents, and therefore does not cover the site rents for mobile homes owned by their occupiers on residential sites.
