HC Deb 21 March 1974 vol 870 c166W
Mr. Sillars

asked the Secretary of State for Scotland if he is satisfied with present plans for improving the A9 road; and if he will make a statement.

Mr. William Ross

The plans for modernising the A9 to Invergordon provide for the virtual reconstruction of the road between Perth and Inverness—117 miles—and the building of a new road across the Black Isle bridging the Beauly and Cromarty Firths—20 miles. Work is going ahead as quickly as resources and procedures permit.
