asked the Secretary of State for Employment what is the annual cost of maintaining the Professional and Executive Register.

The estimated annual cost of the PER service for the current financial year is £2,580,000 gross.

asked the Secretary of State for Employment how many permanent jobs were obtained through the use of the Professional and Executive Register in the last year for which figures are available.

Placings in the year ending 28th February 1974 totalled 8,064.

asked the Secretary of State for Employment what was the number of people on the Professional and Executive Register at the latest date for which figures are available.

On 28th February 1974, 59,970 candidates were enrolled with PER of whom 28,256 were employed.
