asked the Secretary of State for Employment how many cases of alleged unfair dismissal have been dealt with under the provisions of the Industrial Relations Act.

Mr. Booth

12,283 complaints of unfair dismissal had been dealt with or withdrawn up to the quarter ending in September 1973. Later figures for cases dealt with are not yet available, but, up to the end of February 1974, 17,878 complaints had been received by conciliation officers.
