HC Deb 19 March 1974 vol 870 c72W
Sir John Langford-Holt

asked the Secretary of State for Energy what consideration has been given by his Department to the energy savings made possible by the installation at power stations of sealed recirculatory cooling systems, and the use of the heat regained to generate further electricity.

Mr. Eadie

The Central Electricity Generating Board is responsible for the design of power stations and has a statutory responsibility to investigate methods of using waste heat. I am sure that the board would welcome details of any specific scheme the hon. Member has in mind.
