§ Mr. PeartSince taking office I have had discussions with the President and other representatives of the National Farmers' Union on a number of subjects including the problems facing pig producers. The representatives of the National Farmers' Union have impressed upon me their view that early assistance should be given to pig producers. I am urgently considering the position of the pig industry taking full account of these representations.
