§ Mr. OrmeThe Chief Electoral Officer, as Registration Officer, is constrained by the provisions of the Representation of the People Act as to the action he can take with regard to correcting a published Register of Electors. Briefly, any alteration can only be made if an entry in the electors' lists was omitted from the register; or if a decision on a claim or objections has not been given effect to; or if the age on which a person attains voting age has been inadvertently omitted. Within these limitations the Chief Electoral Officer will take any necessary action.
