§ Mr. Biffenasked the Minister of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food what advice is being given to British farmers, particularly in the southern counties, in view of the foot-and-mouth epidemic in Northern France in the light of possible transmission of the disease by birds.
§ Mr. MoyleThe Ministry issued on 13th March a Press notice drawing attention to outbreaks of foot-and-mouth 35W disease in Northern France and urging farmers in Great Britain to keep a close watch on their stock and to report any suspicion of disease to their local Ministry divisional veterinary officer or to the police.
