asked the Minister of Overseas Development what aid and credit is currently being supplied by Great Britain to the present Chilean Administration.

Expenditure on aid to Chile for the six months ending 31st March 1974 is estimated as follows:

This expenditure relates to a £750,000 loan signed in 1969, which has been almost completely disbursed.

This expenditure relates to commitments made during the period of the previous Government.

asked the Secretary of State for Foreign and Commonwealth Affairs how many members of the Chilean armed forces and police are at present being trained in Great Britain; and what agreements are in existence for the continuation of those arrangements.

About 75 members of the Chilean Navy are being trained in connection with naval sales contracts concluded in 1969.
