HC Deb 18 March 1974 vol 870 cc28-9W
Mr. Joplin

asked the Secretary of State for the Environment how many objections have been received to the line of the Appleby bypass in Westmorland; when he expects them to be resolved; and when he expects to be able to invite tenders.

Mr. Carmichael

Five. All the points at issue have now been agreed. A draft compulsory purchase order has yet to be published and invitations to tender must await the outcome of this.
