HC Deb 15 March 1974 vol 870 c7W
Mr. Body

asked the Minister of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food whether he will ask the Meat and Livestock Commission to have an independent cost-benefit analysis carried out on the results of its five years of research.

Mr. Buchan

The Meat and Livestock Commission is responsible for planning its own work programmes based on the advice of its statutory and other committees. The commission is known recently to have carried out its own cost-benefit study of its operations and to have made a number of modifications as a result.
