asked the Secretary of State for Defence what was the cost of military operations in Northern Ireland in 1973.

Mr. Mason

The estimated extra cost of military operations in Northern Ireland in the financial year 1973–74 is £33 million.

Mr. Rose

asked the Secretary of State for Defence how many British Service personnel were murdered in Northern Ireland during 1973 and in January and February 1974.
