§ Mr. FreesonUnder the provisions of the Rent Act 1968, an owner-occupier who lets his home on a regulated tenancy while he himself is absent has an absolute right to repossession when he wishes to reoccupy his home, if he has complied with the appropriate notice procedure. The Rent Bill applies these provisions to new lettings on furnished tenancies and makes transitional provisions for existing 63W furnished lettings by absentee owner-occupiers. Rents under such lettings will be subject to regulation.
