HC Deb 28 June 1974 vol 875 c572W
Mr. Sillars

asked the Secretary of State for Scotland what representations he has received about the need for new sewerage facilities to allow both public and private housing developments to proceed at Coylton, Ayrshire.

Mr. William Ross

Ayr County Council has recently expressed concern at the deferment of some landward sewage treatment schemes because of the restrictions on capital expenditure. The scheme for Coylton and Joppa was one, but I am not aware that any firm proposals for housing developments have in consequence been held up.
