§ Mr. FreesonFinal details of the policy for the private rented sector are still under consideration. But I intend as part of our proposed Bill on rents and subsidies to protect tenants against steep increases in registered rents as soon as the freeze ends. This will be done by phasing in three annual stages all rent increases which exceed a specified amount.
