asked the Minister for Civil Service what was the value or cost of Government printing in each of the five years to 1973; and, in each case, what sums were outlayed in Scotland in this count.

The proportion of Government printing procured by Her Majesty's Stationery Office which is carried out in Scotland, Wales and England is as follows: Scotland, 5.6 per cent.; Wales, 1.1 per cent.; England, 91.2 per cent.

Figures of expenditure for England analysed by administrative region are not available.
