Separate figures on the numbers of women examined for the detection of breast cancer are not available.

asked the Secretary of State for Social Services what facilities are at present available for screening women for breast cancer in Westmorland.

Dr. Owen

Clinical examination of women for breast cancer is carried out in Westmorland in the course of the normal work of general practitioners, hospitals and clinics run by the area health authority.
