§ Miss Joan LestorAt the request of the Chief Minister, whose party won the recent elections on a policy of early independence, a constitutional conference will be held this autumn. In the light of its conclusions Her Majesty's Government expect to reach decisions on constitutional advance and, subject to parliamentary approval, on progress to independence.
