§ Mr. Ronald Bellasked the Secretary of State for the Environment whether he proposes to order that a public local inquiry shall be held into the proposed routes for the M25 motorway between Egham and Maple Cross; and, if so, approximately when that inquiry will be held.
§ Mr. CarmichaelDraft proposals under the Highways Acts will be published as soon as possible after the results of the present non-statutory public consultations have been evaluated and a preferred route selected. A public inquiry will be held if the number and type of objections warrant it: it is too early to say when.
