HC Deb 26 June 1974 vol 875 c482W
Mrs. Sally Oppenheim

asked the Secretary of State for Prices and Consumer Protection if she will list the maximum prices at the top of the range for each of the following subsidised foods: milk, butter, per lb., bread—each size—and cheese—each subsidised variety—for the weeks ending 23rd June and 30th June.

Mr. Maclennan

Under the Milk (Great Britain) (Amendment) Order 1974 the maximum price for milk is 5½p per pint for Channel Islands, South Devon and untreated milk farm-bottled, 5p for ultra-heat-treated, sterilised and homogenised milk, and 4½p for untreated, pasteurised and other milk. Orders prescribing maximum prices for bread, butter and cheese will be made after the Prices Bill has become law.
