§ Mr. VarleyThe Commission recently sent proposals on a Community energy policy strategy to the Council, which will probably discuss them towards the end of July. I discussed the draft of these proposals with M. Simonet, the Commissioner responsible for energy matters. My officials also joined in more detailed discussions between the Commission and representatives of member countries.
