asked the Secretary of State for the Environment if he will make a statement on his consideration of a waste management advisory council.

My right hon. friend referred to the Government's consideration of the establishment of a waste management advisory council during the Second Reading of the Control of Pollution Bill on Monday 17th June 1974. When the detailed consideration has been completed an appropriate statement will be made.
