asked the Secretary of State for Employment what steps he is taking to help resolve the industrial dispute involving the British Printing Industries Federation and SOGAT following the stoppage of production in Bristol of essential hospital supplies.

My Department has continued its efforts to assist the parties in finding a basis on which negotiations might be resumed with the prospect of a settlement being reached. The parties resumed negotiations on 20th June, and these are continuing.
