asked the Secretary of State for Education and Science what reply he has sent to the letter concerning the Russell Report on Adult Education sent by the WEA East Midland district.

The reply of 13th May from my right hon. Friend's private office said that before he could consider what action to take on the report he had to study its resource implications and that, while it would be inappropriate to decide on individual recommendations at this stage, my right hon. Friend would certainly bear the WEA District's views in mind, including those on Recommendation 34.
