§ Mr. Spearingasked the Secretary of State for Education and Science if he will consider introducing a cost of building weighting factors into school cost limits for school building in Greater London on lines similar to the scheme adopted for housing.
§ Mr. ArmstrongAs announced in the Department's Circular 8/74, for the 1974–75 building year there will be no formal cost limits. Resources for major school projects will be allocated to local education authorities as lump sum authorisations, and it will be for them to secure the best value from these resources in the light of local conditions.
