§ Mr. George Cunninghamasked the Secretary of State for the Environment if he will list the members of the Housing Corporation and state which members have previous experience of the work of housing associations.
§ Mr. FreesonA full list of the present members of the Board of the Corporation is given below. Mr. Waddilove is a member and former Chairman of the Council of the National Federation of Housing Associations. Members are appointed for their personal attributes and skills related to the work of the corporation in estate management, finance, building, etc., and some of them have gained experience of the working of associations through long membership of the board.
286WThere would be advantages in increasing the number of members who have relevant experience in housing associations and the provisions in the Housing Bill to increase the size of the board will give a suitable opportunity of doing this.
