asked the Minister of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food what was the cost of the lime subsidy and the fertiliser subsidy during the last year of operation.

In the financial year ending 31st March 1974 the cost of the fertilisers subsidy was £14.6 million and that of the lime subsidy £4.5 million. Claims are still being received in respect of fertilisers delivered up to the closing date of 31st May; the lime subsidy is available until 31st July 1974.
