§ Mr. Eldon Griffithsasked the Secretary of State for Industry whether, in view of the uncertainty created by his recent statement that the affairs of 4,000 private companies are being examined by his officials, he will list the names and addresses of those companies.
§ Mr. BennI said that I would publish details of Government assistance given to 20 top companies over the last four years. This necessarily involves assistance given to their numerous subsidiaries. The 20 companies which I have in mind are:

- British Insulated Callender's Cables
- British Leyland Motor Corporation

- Esso Petroleum Co
- Ford Motor Co.
