HC Deb 20 June 1974 vol 875 c252W
Mr. Emery

asked the Secretary of State for Social Services how many area health authorities who are responsible for the National Health Service chiropody service are under-staffed; how many chiropodists it is estimated are necessary to correct the shortage; and what steps she is taking to bring this about.

Dr. Owen

I would refer the hon. Member to my reply to my hon. Friend the Member for Swindon (Mr. Stoddart) on 7th May.—[Vol. 873, c.90.]—In the absence of generally accepted staffing standards it is not possible to quantify shortages.
