§ Mr. Jim Lesterasked the Secretary of State for Education and Science if, in view of the letter received from the Association of Polytechnic Teachers (Trent branch), if he will now hold an inquiry into the development of the Trent Polytechnic following the proposed merger with the College of Education at Clifton.
§ Mr. Gerry FowlerNo. The proposed merger of the Polytechnic and College of Education would necessitate a revision of the development plan for the Polytechnic and no proposals for revision have yet been submitted by the Joint Education committee.
