asked the Secretary of State for the Home Department why it took him until 11th June to reply to the letter sent to him on 19th April by the hon. Member for Newham, North-West, concerning immigration; and what was contained in this reply which could not have been sent within a few weeks of receipt of the hon. Member's communication.
