HC Deb 18 June 1974 vol 875 cc91-2W
Mr. Hunt

asked the Secretary of State for Social Services (1) if she is satisfied with the standard of service provided by those firms supplying surgical shoes to hospitals within the area of the South-East Thames Regional Health Authority;

(2) what is the average waiting time for surgical shoes within the area covered by the South-East Thames Regional Health Authority.

Mr. Alfred Morris

The service provided in the South-East Thames area is generally satisfactory. Most of the surgical footwear is supplied in six to eight weeks, but in some instances, because of material or labour shortages, delivery may take three months. If the hon. Member knows of any case presenting particular difficulty, we shall be pleased to investigate on receipt of details.
