asked the Prime Minister if he is satisfied with the coordination between the Department of Social Security, the Department of the Environment and the Scottish Office on dealing with the problems of battered wives and children.

Yes. Following her meeting with a deputation from Women's Aid, my right hon. Friend the Secertary of State for Social Services is studying this very human problem with my right hon. Friends concerned and hopes to make an early statement.
