§ Mr. Robin F. Cookasked the Secretary of State for Scotland if he will take steps to prevent evasion of the order controlling rents by giving the incoming tenant the right to refer to the rent book of the outgoing tenant in all cases where there is a change of tenancy.
§ Mr. William RossI do not consider that it would be practicable to enforce arrangements of the kind suggested. It is however open to an incoming tenant to consult the rent register, which will in many cases show the current rent for the accommodation.
