Mr. Bruce-Gardyne

asked the Secretary of State for Trade what is the current annual value of United Kingdom exports to Greece, Chile, South Africa and Spain covered by credit guarantees from the Export Credits Guarantee Department.

Mr. Deakins

It is not the practice to disclose figures of United Kingdom exports covered by ECGD to particular markets.

Mr. Bruce-Gardyne

asked the Secretary of State for Trade if he will list the countries in respect of which the Export Credits Guarantee Department is currently forbidden to offer credit guarantees for political reasons.

Mr. Deakins

There is none. As far as Rhodesia is concerned the question does not arise, since under United Nations mandatory sanctions we do no trade with Rhodesia.
