HC Deb 13 June 1974 vol 874 cc615-6W
Mr. Tierney

asked the Secretary of State for Employment how many places are available in training centres for the blind in the West Midlands Metropolitan Area; how many are attending such centres; and how many are awaiting admission.

Mr. Harold Walker

I am advised by the Manpower Services Commission that in the West Midlands Metropolitan Area there are 45 residential and up to six non-residential places available in one training centre for the blind; 39 of the places are currently occupied and no one is awaiting admission.
