Mr. Spearing

asked the Secretary of State for Education and Science how many secondary schools in the Greater

London area sent back details of staff turnover as part of the recent study; and if he will set out in tabular form the numbers of each school in appropriate 5 or 10 percentile ranges of staff turnover.

Mr. Prentice

382 schools in Greater London, including 29 in the ILEA. Because different sampling fractions were used in inner and outer London, only the equivalent grossed-up figures are comparable. The table gives these figures:
