HC Deb 12 June 1974 vol 874 c553W
56. Mr. Silverman

asked the Secretary of State for the Environment if he will review the operation of the Leasehold Reform Act in order to consider what amendments should be made to the Act to make leasehold enfranchisement more readily accessible to leaseholders.

Mr. Freeson

The Act as it stands should already make leasehold enfranchisement readily accessible to qualified leaseholders who invoke it. I should, however, be happy to consider carefully any evidence or representations which suggest that the Act is being evaded.
