HC Deb 10 June 1974 vol 874 c473W
Mr. McNamara

asked the Secretary of State for the Home Department what permission has been granted, and for what length of stay in this country, for Mr. Leonard Wincott, ex-AB Royal Navy, and a Russian resident for 40 years, to broadcast in the BBC television national service and to reside in Plymouth and broadcast on the local BBC television service on his part in a Devon-port ship in the 1931 Atlantic Fleet mutiny at Invergordon.

Mr. Alexander W. Lyon

Mr. Wincott, a Soviet citizen, was informed in December that he would be granted a visa to visit this country. If admitted, he would not be restricted as to place of residence. Matters of programme content are the responsibility of the broadcasting authorities.
