asked the Secretary of State for the Environment whether he intends to make a decision on the Maplin project before the Summer Recess.

The Government have set in hand a re-examination of the project for a third London airport at Maplin and my right hon. Friend the Secretary of State for Trade, in his announcement on 21st March—[Vol. 870, c. 1334]—has undertaken to make a statement to the House before the Summer Recess.
