HC Deb 10 June 1974 vol 874 c424W
44. Mr. Trotter

asked the Secretary of State for Defence whether a standard form of contract is employed for exports of arms and what provision is normally made in such contract for its cancellation.

Mr. William Rodgers

The bulk of such exports are the subject of contracts between private firms and foreign Governments and the detailed provisions for cancellation are not normally known to Her Majesty's Government. Agreements covering Government-to-Government sales include a cancellation clause where the circumstances are thought to warrant it.
