HC Deb 30 July 1974 vol 878 c184W
Mr. Hooson

asked the Secretary of State for Trade if it has been his policy to discourage trade between the United Kingdom and Spain, Chile, Greece and South Africa by unilateral instruction to the Export Credits Guarantee Department, and whether he has sought parliamentary approval for such a course.

Mr. Deakins

No. There is nothing to add to the replies which the Secretary of State for Trade has already given to previous Questions on this subject. No such instruction has been issued. Government policy towards the Export Credits Guarantee Department remains unchanged.
