HC Deb 30 July 1974 vol 878 cc176-7W
Mr. Michael Morris

asked the Secretary of State for Social Services if she will seek to make arrangements whereby bona fide British students required to study as part of their course in the EEC are given reciprocal medical facilities whether or not they are under 18 years of age.

Dr. Owen

Yes. We are constantly seeking to extend the scope of reciprocal medical facilities beyond that of the present provisions of the EEC Social Security Regulations which cover only employed persons, pensioners and their dependants. This will inevitably take some time to achieve.
