LORD MERRIVALE

asked Her Majesty's Government:

Whether the report following the examination of all Service land in Gibraltar jointly by the Property Services Agency and the Ministry of Defence (with a view to ensuring that the best possible use is made of it) as recommended in the Third Report from the Expenditure Committee and accepted in Command 5308 of May, 1973, is available to Parliament and if not when it will be presented.

THE PARLIAMENTARY UNDERSECRETARY OF STATE FOR DEFENCE FOR THE ARMY (LORD BRAYLEY)

The joint examination by the Ministry of Defence and the Property Services Agency of the use of Service land in Gibraltar is not expected to be compleled until later in the year. I will arrange for the noble Lord to be informed of the outcome.
