Mr. Luce

asked the Secretary of State for Foreign and Commonwealth Affairs whether he will reaffirm that there will be no change in the sovereignty of the Falkland Islands without the full consent of the islanders.

Mr. Ennals

It remains the policy of this Government, as of previous Govern- ments, that no change in the present British sovereignty over the Falkland Islands will be made against the wishes of the islanders.
