§ Mr. Jeffrey Thomasasked the Secretary of State for Wales when will the Commission for Local Administration in Wales be appointed.
§ Mr. John MorrisHer Majesty the Queen has approved my recommendation, following consultation with the Representative Body for Wales, that Mr. Dafydd Jones-Williams, OBE, MC, TD, DL, be appointed Local Commissioner for Wales. Mr. Jones-Williams will be taking up his appointment at a date to be announced, when the Commission for Local Administration in Wales—the machinery for investigating complaints alleging maladministration by local authorities and water authorities—will come into formal existence.
